New research has emerged that an ingredient in red wine helps lab mice run faster, and also staves off obesity and death.

People have been talking about this "ingredient" in red wine for a long time. You know what it is? Resveratrol, which is found on grape skin and in peanuts too. But everybody loves to talk about it in red wine. Like they want to justify getting a little tipsy, a little red in the face, a little acne-ridden. Fine, I like red wine as much as the next guy, but do we have to focus on it like it's the only place on earth to find this resveratrol?

Also, the studies showed that you would have to drink hundreds of glases of red wine to have similar results to the mice's.

Articles on the research are everywhere today, but you can read one story at The Washington Post. Pass me that peanut grape.
