I've been meaning to ask this question for like a year now - what's the deal with the gold sticker that guys are leaving on their baseball hats? They say "7 1/2" on them...they're on the brim...(see photo).
What does it mean? And what happens when it rains?
I ran into an old neighborhood friend the other day who was wearing one and I was like, Significance? And he was like, I just do what everybody's doing.
Damn.

I should have read Devin Friedman's GQ article on going back to high school so that I'd know it's just a "51Fifty" hat. But still, what does it mean?? A friend who works with ex-parolees tells me it's a prison thing...
